DIGITAL HYDRAULIC BENCH

Description:

Learning objectives/experiments:
  1. To determine the different flow rates.
  2. To study the hydraulic test bench experiment.

Features:
  • Electronic flow meter and digital display for accurate measurements and quicker experiments Should be made of lightweight fiberglass for strength, easier transport and long life Should have lockable wheels for mobility with stability and flat top to hold different experiment modules. Self-contained with re-circulating water circuit
  • Should not need any external water supply to save mains water.
  • It is of volumetric type and has been designed to provide continuous and controlled supply of water to conduct various experiments using auxiliary modules in typical Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Laboratory.
  • Water is recycled between the Experiment Module, Measuring Tank and the Storage Tank by the Centrifugal Pump.
  • Several experiments in Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics require continuous and controlled supply of water.
  • The Basic Hydraulic Bench provides a controlled recirculation water supply to conduct experiments. The Basic Hydraulic Bench is a very important module and is recommended for all Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Laboratories in Educational Institutions.
  • It is a basic module for flow related experiments using auxiliary modules.
  • Self-contained and fully portable mobile unit with welded frame.
  • Light weight body made of reinforced fibre glass and corrosion resistant materials.
  • Closed water circuit consisting of Measuring Tank, Storage Tank and the Centrifugal Pump.
  • Control valve to regulate the pump and adjust the flow rate.
  • Suitable pipe connectors are provided in the
  • Bench Top to enable easy change of experiment modules.
  • Level Indicators for water level are provided in the Open

Specification/ Technical data:
  • The body of the bench should form a    reservoir or Sump Tank, with a submersible     pump Should have a rim around the top to contain any spilled or excess water
  • A small recess or Trough, in the top should work with a removable drain valve to trap a small volume of water.  It should also catch discharged water from some experiments in the fluid mechanic’s range. A hand-operated control valve should adjust the water flow rate from the pump
  • An electrical box on the side of the bench should include the pump switch, circuit protection and a digital display of flow
  • A sight gauge to the lower side of the bench should allow the user to check the water level inside the tank an electronic flow meter should measure the outlet flow from the submersible pump and the signal from the flow meter should pass to the digital display to show the flow rate
  • Free Standing Type Bench.
  • Sump Tank capacity: Approx. 100 Liters minimum and 160 liters maximum
  • Maximum Flow: With no experiment module fitted: 50 liters/minute (220V) 47 liters/minute (110V)
  • Maximum pressure: 450 mbar at working surface height
  • Flowmeter display: L.s-1 and L.min-1
  • Resolution: 0.001 L.s-1 and 0.1 L.min-1
  • Accessories (included):
  • Water additive and datasheet
  • All necessary pipes and pipe clips 220~230V AC, 50Hz, 1 Phase
