PENDULUM IMPACT TESTER (CHARPY, IZOD IMPACT TESTING MACHINE):
AS PER IS: 1598-1997, 1757-1973, 1499-1977, 3766-1977 as well as BS: 131-Part 1, 2, 3 & 4- 1972 and ASTM E 32-47T.
Introduction:
Our Pendulum Impact Tester is designed for conducting Izod and Charpy test. The Test methods the pendulum is mounted on antifriction bearings. It has two starting positions, the upper one for Charpy and the lower one for Izod testing. On release, the pendulum swings down to break the specimen and the energy absorbed in doing so is measured as the difference between the height of drop before rupture and the height of rise after rupture of the test specimen and is read from the position of maximum pointer on the dial scale.
