NEEDLE VIBRATOR:

Introduction:

An increasing number of contractual obligations call for various forms of vibro-compacted concrete for achieving a better and more consistent mixute. The Needle Vibrator is recommended for vibro-compaction of test cylinders and beams at site and in the laboratory. This instrument can also be used at small construction sites.

The Vibrators produce vibrations which when transmitted to plastic concrete make it to flow and affect compaction. The air bubbles are forced out of concrete due to vibrations. The Needle Vibrator, also known as immersion or poker vibrator have a power unit and long flexible tube at the end of which a vibrating head is attached. Wherever compaction is to be done, the vibrating head is inserted in the concrete.

A motor fitted on a swivel base drives a flexible shaft, which in turn, vibrates the needle at about 10,000 vibrations per minute. (approx.)

General Description and Specifications: Needle Vibrator with a 25 mm dia x 350 mm long needle, a one meter long flexible shaft and a motor drive with a swivel head and on/off switch. Wired for 230V, Single Phase, 50 Hz.

• 5 m long flexible shaft without needle, but with a 2 HP motor.
• Needle 20mm diameter x 350mm long.
• Needle 40mm diameter x 350mm long

Optional:  the Vibrator can also be fitted with Petrol/kerosene or Diesel Engine for field use
