RECIRCULATING TYPE AC TRAINER TEST RIG:

A.     RANGE OF EXPERIMENT:

• To Study all components used in refrigeration cycle.
• To Study vapour compression refrigeration cycle.
• To determine the Refrigeration effect, Work output, Actual C.O.P, Carnot C.O.P, Theoretical C.O.P, Tonnage of refrigeration and plant efficiency.
• Demonstration of heating, cooling, humidification and dehumidification for conditioning of air.
• Study of working of recirculation air conditioning.

B.     SPECIFICATION:

• Compressor: - Hermetically sealed compressor having cooling capacity of (1 ton) Emerson or Equivalent.
• Condenser: Air cooled condenser made up of copper pipe & Aluminium fins of matching capacity with fan cooling. FHP fan motor with fan blade is provided.
• Storage room: - 100 mm X 800 mm X 1000 mm Storage room with double wall insulated with suitable small door.
• Evaporator: - Air passed Evaporator made of copper pipe and aluminium fins of matching capacity with fan cooling.
• Expansion device:
• Capillary Tube
  • Diameter : suitable
  • Material : copper
• Rota meter: For measuring flow rate of liquid refrigerant.
  • Capacity: 4.7 to 47 LPH.
• Refrigerant: R-22 gas.
• Pressure Gauges:
  • 0 to 300 PSI (R-22) - 1 no.
  • Vacuum 30 to 150 PSI (R-22) - 1nos
• Multipoint Digital Temperature Indicator: To measure temperatures at various salient points of the refrigeration cycle.
• HP/LP cut-out: Danfoss or equivalent.
• Axial Fan: For forcing the air in the duct, 100 cfm
• Air heater: 4 KW capacity.
• Dry-Wet bulb thermometer: for measurement of condition of air all equipment is suitably mounted on a Power coated sturdy angle frame and panel.
• Service valve: 1 nos. Brass type.
• Filter / Drier: 1 nos. Danfoss or equivalent make.
• Thermostat: Ranco make or equivalent.
• Sight Glass: standard.

C.     SERVICE REQUIRED:

• Three phase 230 V AC, 15 Amp supply.
• Space required: floor space 2 mtr x 1 mtr.
